When pets are household, the benefits extend into society
Dallas Animal Services is honored to have received the 2019 Petco Innovation Showdown on Wednesday, April 17th, at Humane Society of the Unites States’ Animal Expo in New Orleans. DAS obtained a $200,000 funding in our ground-breaking Dallas90 Shelter Service System app, which can assist DAS improve our customer support to increase our adoptions and reduce euthanasia for space. And perhaps most significantly, we must all work together; human and animal service companies, pet owners, veterinarians, landlords, and policy makers; to ensure that pets and their individuals proceed to live collectively; secure, secure, pleased, and an important part of the neighborhood. Shelter policies should mirror the complementary goals of maintaining pets and their folks together, reuniting lost pets with their households, and discovering new houses for pets who have lost theirs.
