Kennels are solely allowed in the agricultural preservation zone (City Code 151.030) and require the approval of a conditional use permit. Paperwork and care estimates are now being permitted within the car parking zone, and employees members are transferring animals into the hospital, sporting special protecting gear to maintain them secure from the possibility of human-to-human switch of the coronavirus. The hospital has restricted all owner visitations, with the exception of two members of the family when a pet is being euthanized. To date, there have been no documented cases of animals getting sick with COVID-19. Still, veterinary specialists have recommendations and pointers to ensure individuals and their pets stay protected throughout this pandemic.
There are also inanimate objects that have been saved as “pets”, either as a form of a game or humorously (e.g. the Pet Rock or Chia Pet). Some wild animals are kept as pets, similar to tigers, even though that is unlawful. Keeping animals as pets could also be detrimental to their well being if sure necessities aren’t met. An essential issue is inappropriate feeding, which may produce scientific effects. The consumption of chocolate or grapes by canines, for example, may show fatal.
